My journey with nutrition began when I was a teen, my dad had entered the house one day and changed our entire fridge with healthy food. I was desperate, what would I eat if not salami with toast? Since my body did not agree with this approach fully, I had started to read more about what a healthy diet encompasses and therefore went on to become a nutritionist.
I completed a bachelor and master's degree in Nutrition and Clinical Nutrition and a postgraduate certificate in Nutritional Medicine at universities in the United Kingdom. Somewhere on this path I discovered I am gluten intolerant which further turned out to be a dairy intolerance as well. I have been on a gluten and dairy-free diet since then. Therefore if you find yourself in similar situations, I can help out with tips and tricks from my own experience.
Recently, I discovered that behaviour change lies at the core of any nutrition advice and embarked on a journey as a Functional Medicine Health Coach. I found that it was the missing link in all my nutrition sessions. Since working as a nutritionist and health coach lies close to my heart, I decided to dedicate my time fully, after 4 years in the food industry and research. I'm passionate about the combination of personalised nutrition and sustainability and how we can revolutionize health by learning from nature, exploring, and trusting our intuition.
I like to work with a lot of colours and variation in food and we will be looking at all aspects surrounding your diet, including your health status, personal and professional life, movement, sleep, meditation, and emotions. I like to use an intuitive approach when putting together the latest research-based recommendations. In addition, I work alongside general practitioners, doctors, midwives, and nurses.
